Two Consultants Appointed to AACT Governing Board

AACT is happy to announce that Jonte’ Lee and Anjana Iyer have been appointed to the AACT Governing Board as Consultants through June 31, 2022.

Jonte' Lee

Jonte’ Lee is a STEM Teacher at the District of Columbia Public Schools. He has been heralded for going the extra mile to support his students during the pandemic. He has been featured on Good Morning America and the Amazon Prime Video series Regular Heroes. He has experience working for the non-profit INROADS and with the Smithsonian Science Education Center initiative to increase and retain a diverse STEM teacher pool.

Anjana Iyer

Anjana Iyer is a Chemistry and Special Education teacher at Hillsborough High School in New Jersey. She was honored by the New Jersey Center for Inclusive Education for being the best inclusivity teacher in New Jersey in 2019. She also received the outstanding chemistry teacher award from the Princeton Section of ACS in 2018.
